The positives of the London 2012 Olympics?
1)Urban regeneration
The East-end of London will be the main focus of the Olympic Zone, with the Lower Lea Valley near Stratford being host to a brand new 80,000-seater Olympic Stadium.
2)Housing
One of the long-term benefits of the games is the provision of 5,000 homes following the conversion of the Olympic Village after the games. However the cost of housing may increase as a result of the regeneration of the area, possibly forcing local poorer families out of their homes. Although with London's large economy, there is some protection from acute price rises during the Games.
Transport improvements
In order to transport the thousands of spectators, athletes, officials and media to the games, the transport links to the east of London are going to be upgraded. These improvements include:
* Channel Tunnel Shuttle link from Stratford to Kings Cross
* 45% capacity of Jubilee line
* Extensions to the DLR
* £1bn improvement to London East line.
3)Tourism
Due to the increase in the profile of London during the period of the Games, the whole of the UK is likely to see an increase in tourism. The revenue gained from this is hoped to offset any losses made by the LOCOG
4)Jobs
With the Olympic Zone being in an area with high unemployment, the several thousand new short-term jobs is likely to be a big boost for the area.

How many people can the Stadium hold.
The stadium design was launched on 7 November 2007. The architects, Populous, formerly known as HOK Sport, is an architectural firm specializing in the design of sports facilities and convention centers, as well as planning of major special events.
As a "unique 80,000 seat stadium, it will be the centrepiece for the 2012 Games, hosting the opening and closing ceremonies and the athletics events, converting down to a 25,000 seat permanent stadium after the Games, when it will become a new home for athletics, combined with other sporting, community and educational uses", according to LOCOG (London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games)
As of June 2009, the stadium's track and field arena has been excavated out of the soft clay found on the site, around which permanent seating for 25,000 has been assembled, using concrete "rakers". The natural slope of the land is incorporated into the design, with warm-up and changing areas being dug into a semi basement position at the lower end. A demountable lightweight steel and concrete upper tier has been built up from this “bowl” to accommodate a further 55,000 spectators.

The Olympic Stadium looks cool huh.
I have to admit I had my doubts about the Stadium but looking at it right now it makes me think otherwise and it's not just that there's also another Westfield that is being built there.
